How to have a Children’s Tea Party

We recently hosted a tea party for some friends and family.  We did a little prep work and came up with the following party decor.  Check it out!

This is a handmade sign, created with fabric scraps, a sharpie and some Elmers glue by one of the party-goers.

Fresh flowers and mismatched teacups are crucial for an elegant tea party.

The triangle banners were crafted with double-sided scrapbook paper, a hot glue gun, and ribbon.  The triangles were cut in varying sizes and then hot glued to the ribbon.

The fabric backdrop was created from old sheets.  We cut 4-5 sheets into long strips and tied them all to one long strip.

Antique doilies made everything on our picnic table look extra fancy.

Super fancy-looking peanut butter crackers.

Mike-and-ike’s added elegance to our plain white cake.

Every tea party needs a chic teapot.

Oh fancy gloves!

The picnic table has never looked so luxurious.

Oh and you can’t forget the chandelier.

Teddy was number 1 on the guest list.

All of our guests came dressed to impress…even the boys.

The tea party was a huge success!

We would love to photograph your next big event!  Contact us for more info!

Happy Birthday Matthew!

We first met Matthew in August of 2011.  He came in to meet us for his first session of his baby plan with a big smile.

It’s hard to believe that was almost a year ago!

Since that first session, Matthew has always brought a super postitive attitude to every session.

He is an extremely happy little boy and such a joy to be around.

It is impossible to not love his adorable smile and those blue eyes.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTHEW!

Thanks for letting us watch you grow up!

Graduation Central

What’s better than having a daughter graduate?

Having TWO daughters graduate!

These beautiful sisters are having a dual open house this year.  Shelby is a Warren Central High School graduate and Amanda is a University of Indianapolis graduate.

They both plan to further their education.  Shelby will be following in her older sister’s footsteps by attending University of Indianapolis in the fall and Amanda is heading to the University of Tennessee.

This is a truly monumental moment in their life’s and we are honored to have been chosen to help capture it.

Good luck and congratulations ladies!

Patriotic Photo Shoots

As a way to celebrate the wonderful USA, we’ve decided to make our June theme is “Red, White, and Blue”.

We want to capture patriotic images that you can add to you Fourth of July cookout invitations, display proudly on your mantle, or frame for Father’s day.

Here are some sneak peek images of what we hope to capture before the Fourth of July.

Happy Mother’s Day 2012!

I love mom

This year some of our younger clients decided to use our newly created framed chalkboards to make some extra special Mother’s Day memories.

These little girls clearly love their mothers.

Abby proudly displays the picture that she carefully created for her mother.

Harper smiles at her mother while she shows off her artwork

Skyler may have needed some help with her chalkboard, but you can see by the way she is smiling at her mommy that she thinks she is the greatest.

Don’t forget Father’s Day is fast approaching!

Make your appointment soon to ensure the father’s in your life get a gift they will truly love.

The scowl

This is what Harper’s family calls the “Harper Scowl”.

This is the face you see when Harper’s mother says, “it’s time to clean your room.”

She displays it proudly when her father says, “you must eat your vegetables if you want to have dessert.”

We had the privilege of capturing this “face only Harper could make” during her last photo session.  Unfortunately, we can’t remember what it was exactly that provoked the “Harper Scowl”.  So we thought maybe you could come up with a funny quote to go along with this portrait.

We can’t wait to hear what you come up with!

*This message was approved by Harper’s mother.  We would never post unwilling participants photos in such a manner.*
